Ghana’s new boxing Champion and Hero, Isaac Zion Dogboe is set to defend his WBO super bantamweight title against Japanese boxer Hidenori Otake tomorrow, 25th August in Glendale, Arizona.
Nicknamed the “Royal Storm”, Isaac Dogbe defeated Jessie Magdaleno earlier this year in April to win the WBO super bantamweight title.
Tomorrow’s bout will be the first time Dogboe will be defending his title.
Dogboe has an impressive record of 19 bouts undefeated. 13 of those wins have come by way of knockout and he is described as a big “Dog” in the super bantamweight division.
Since turning professional in 2013, the Royal Storm has beaten every opponent he has face as he continues to impress in the division.
He has taken the division by storm and after knocking out Jesse Magdaleno in his last bout to win the WBO title, he has become a global icon and his brand continues to grow.
Hidenori Otake, on the other hand, is not a feeble boxer to be taken for granted. The Japanese is 14 years older than Isaac Dogbe.
He is 37 years and boasts of a total of 36 bouts. Out of that he has managed to win an impressive 31 bouts, lost 2 and drawn 4.
Otake has not lost a fight since 2012 despite featuring in the ring 9 times. It is a record that is evidence of how good and dangerous he is.
Isaac Dogboe is also the reigning WBO junior featherweight titleholder. He will be defending his WBO Bantamweight title tomorrow against Hidenori Otake as looks for win and go on to unify the division.
