The Member of Parliament for Agona West Constituency, Hon. Cynthia Morrison has said that achievable developmental projects have been initiated to improve the living Standard of her constituents.
According to her, infrastructure development, economic empowerment and job creation among others were to be enrolled soon to improve lives of the citizenry.
Briefing newsmen/women at Agona Swedru recently, Hon. Cynthia Morrison disclosed that road network in the area were to be reshaped for smooth transportation of goods and services.
” His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo led NPP government through Ministry of Roads and Highway has assured us that deplorable roads would be covered in the municipality
Agona Swedru, Agona Nyakrom, Agona Bobikuma town roads would be reshaped to limit traffic congestion especially in Agona Swedru.
Drainage and large gutters are to be construed to contain volumes of water that caused flooding during heavy rainfall in the Agona West Municipality especially the Akora River Drainage system “
The Agona West Member of Parliament further stated that she has donated over 1,000 mono desks to the three Senior High Schools to ease congestion in their classrooms.
” Authorities of Swedru School of Business popularly known as ‘Swesbus ‘, Nyakrom Senior High and Technical School and Siddiqq Senior High school in Agona Nyakrom made a passionate appeal for the desks.
I quickly contacted Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETfund) and upon constant visits and lobbying the fund agreed to give me the mono desks for the schools. Schools and market centers will also see rehabilitation soon”
On sanitation, Hon. Cynthia Morrison noted that modern toilet facilities were to be constructed for Nkubem and Anchease Electoral Areas in Agona Swedru, Agona Nyakrom and Bobikuma Upper and Lower to reduce Open defecation.
” I want to put on record that Hospitals , Clinics, Health Centers and CHPS Compound in the Agona West Municipality have been supplied with beds and other health related equipment to enhance their day to day operations “
The Member of Parliament expressed the hope that these and others would improve the living condition of the people in her constituency.
