Sports News of Wednesday, 14 February 2018
Tonight is Valentine night to some people but to football fans it is a night where two of Europe’s biggest clubs come face-to-face with each other.
A great night beckons as Real Madrid welcome French giants Paris Saint German at the Santiago Bernabeau.
With the La Liga title almost out of sight and a Copa del Rey quarter final exit to mid-table Leganes, Zinedine Zidane’s men must win this encounter to keep their hopes of winning a trophy this season alive.
PSG on the other hand are on course to secure their seventh Ligue 1 title, as well as finding themselves in the final of the Coupe de la Ligue, where they will tackle Monaco.
Zidane will have to make some changes in defence with Dani Carvajal suspended. Raphael Varane could potentially deputise for the Spaniard, meaning Nacho would partner Sergio Ramos.
Jesus Vallejo is injured, while midfielder Dani Ceballos is also considered a doubt.
For PSG, there are slight concerns over the availability of Neymar, who is nursing an ankle knock, while Thiago Motta is unavailable.
The other fixture will see 5-time champions, Liverpool take on Portuguese outfit, Porto.
The games will start at 19:45 GMT.
